ALLERGIES TO FABRICS

  • Those responsible for allergies caused by clothing can be determined by the composition of the fabric or by some substances that are used to process them such as dyes, detergents and fabric softeners.
The most at risk materials are synthetic ones like nylon, filanca, lycra which have the characteristic of preventing or otherwise hindering our perspiration, the sweat stagnates and consequently the skin is irritated.
In Europe there are rules for the regulation of the use of chemical products to treat fabrics, in other countries, unfortunately, this is not the case.
The aesthetic taste, the practicality the color, the model are at the base of our choices to buy our clothes, not all pay attention to the composition of the fabric or its origin.
To avoid the risks of allergies, the choice should always fall on natural products such as cotton, silk, wool, linen and hemp, trying to avoid as much as possible the synthetic fibers that are chemically produced by the synthesis of petroleum derivatives.
