Contrary to the pure silk tie, the wool tie is exclusively seasonal, in fact it can only be worn in autumn / winter.
For this reason, very often and, in our opinion undeservedly, the pure silk tie is ignored or scarcely considered to the advantage of the "four season".
However, it is still fair to recognize that the wool tie remains irreplaceable to enhance shetland or tweed jackets by offering unparalleled combinations impossible to achieve with silk even for the type of fabric, its heaviness and appearance that are more suitable for the garments of winter.
